What do you put first -
family or food?

This is the dilemma faced by the Woodcutter who, under pressure from his wife, leaves his children in the forest. How will they survive? Is that a house made of... sweets?

Colourful and fun...
a new take on a classic tale.

"We thought it was fantastic!! The performance was very focussed, relevant and all the children could access it. The classes were utterly transfixed and really enjoyed it.

The workshop extended the children's understanding of drama and fairy tales.

The set and costumes were all simple yet effective. Thank you very much!"

                  Harriet Bellotte, Manorside Combined School

"Children were engrossed in the performance and enjoyed participating in the workshop. We were particularly impressed because one of our SEN children became very involved and animated."

                         H Whitehead, Woodside Primary School

"All the children thoroughly enjoyed the performances & thought the drama workshop was great. Staff thought it was pitched just right for each year group.

The performances from the actors was very slick and professional with a really good use of props.

The cost for 3 separate performances was good value for money. Lots of staff took away ideas from the workshop element too.

We will definitely book again!!"

                            Karen Allen, Carlisle Infants School

"Another excellent Hobgoblin production - great for children and adults alike! Thank you."

          Christine Biggins, Wickhambreaux Primary School

"We thought you were brilliant! the set and props were just right. We especially liked the way you involved the children by asking them questions and actually sitting amongst them.

The speaking was extremely clear and the play was just the right length. You were extremely professional. Children and staff were smiling all the way through!"

Rita Booker, Dr Triplet's Primary School

"Thank you for a wonderful day.

All the children were really buzzing about it. All the above (set/props/costume) were brilliant!

The workshops gave the teachers ideas that they can use in their classrooms.

We will certainly be using you again."

        Gill Sephton, Grovelands School

"The play was fantastic!

All children totally engaged. Story told really well with just the right amount of humour! Thank you! Workshop well planned for the younger children. They loved it!"

Zoe Smith, St Patrick's School
