A Viking
Tale

ANGLO-SAXONS / VIKINGS

When Freya's village is threatened with famine she decides to set off on a quest to find Sigurd's Treasure.

"Our Year 3 children and staff really enjoyed the performance of 'A Viking Tale'.

The adults were really impressed with the details that the children could recall during the interactive sessions within the play.

This is a real testament to how well the actors engaged them through creative storytelling, excellent acting and overall attention to detail seen in every aspect of the production."

Jonathan Bramley, All Saints C of E Primary School

If, for any reason, we are unable to visit you in person to perform the show we have a brilliant filmed version available.

Through Freya's adventure we learn about Viking Life, both at home and on board a Viking Longboat. Her adventure takes her to Angleland where we also learn about the Anglo-Saxons.

"A super play - well acted and resourced. It was pitched perfectly for the age of the children and was totally engaging."

Stephanie Hooley, New Swannington Primary School

"Absolutely fantastic! Gripping play - very good idea for the mini-plenaries to check their understanding, and the children LOVED the drama. Many thanks!"

Emma Pearce, The Study Prep School

"The play was excellent. The children were enthralled by the story.

The acting was of a high quality and the children were fully engaged in the discussions. A wide variety of facts about Viking life was introduced.

The actors were very enthusiastic and the session was pitched at the right level. A thoroughly enjoyable morning."

"A brilliant, engaging and educational morning.

All the children were engaged (even those with behavioural issues). Children quickly warmed to the performers and responded well to them. All learnt lots in both sessions.

You arrived early, set up quickly and were fab to have in school.

The play was good and we particularly liked splitting in to groups to have great discussions.

The children enjoyed the drama workshop and produced some amazing still frames.

Great value for money and would love to have you back again soon.

A big thank you from us all."

Katie Threlfall, Gonerby Hill Foot Primary School

"A really fantastic performance. The children were enthralled.

Liked the interaction and the storyline was appealing. It covered many of the aspects we had covered in our Viking studies.

Really good for children to discuss the play as it went along and to discuss characters - will really help with future creative writing. Fitted our 'creative curriculum' philosophy. Thank you. Will definitely book again.

Really enjoyed it. Worth every penny."

                     Fiona Butler, Weyfield Primary School
